Tasman Landcare's AGM this year will be combined with a field day to view the progress of our current pasture trials and to explore soil health in general.
Dr. Bill Cotching will be our guest presenter - he'll be digging holes and leading discussions on:
- soil testing
- cockchafer infestations - treatments
- regenerative agriculture - local applications

9.30 am start with cuppa at Saltwater River Hall.
10.00 - 12.00 presentation & discussion session
12.00 - 1.00 lunch
1:00 - 2:30 relocate to local pasture trial site to discuss progress
2:30 - 3:30 AGM - back at Saltwater River Hall

Tas Fire Service working together with farmers and communities
The TFS have a variety of resources to assist you with managing your property for fire http://www.fire.tas.gov.au/Show?pageId=colPublications.
Tasmania Fire Service has produced a brochure in cooperation with the farming communities and the state fire management council. This brochure provides information about fire safety on farms, safe harvesting practices during hot and dry weather and safe cooperative working practices for farmers and TFS.
