Tasman Council has a new Weed Management Plan prepared by enviro-dynamics that will be the basis for weed control works for the next five years (2018-2023).
The following maps show the distribution of priority weeds based on historical records and a roadside survey of council and state growth roads in January 2018. Some weed infestations may have been missed due to inherent survey limitations so if you are aware of other occurrences please contact council's
- African boxthorn
- fennel and asparagus fern
- boneseed
- gorse
- holly and horsetail
- pampas grass
- Elisha's tears, serrated tussock and Paterson's curse
- ragwort
- arum lily, bluebell creeper and foxglove
All these weeds are targets for eradication in the next five years.
